Story[]
Valerie continues to analyze Montgomery's books but makes no sense of its lessons.
While reviewing the old and deteriorating hospital, the director collapses from sudden abdominal pain. Valerie stabilizes the director and calls in Markus to assist. The scans show that the director is suffering from progression of a longstanding bowel cancer, and the doctors operate to save him.
After the procedure, Markus and Valerie suggest that the director take a vacation to help with recovery. However, he's made the decision to retire and close the hospital, while seeking treatment at a new facility at Fairbanks. Since they'd have nowhere else to go, he advises Markus and Valerie to return to Concordia.

Operation[]
This operation introduces inflammation and the Magnifier. Start with treating the tumors and using the blue anti-inflammatory to treat any inflamed spots. Once you've removed the first two, you'll be prompted to operate the magnifier. Switch to the ultrasound tool, and then hold B to scroll around the field. You'll have three more tumors and a lot of inflammation to treat.
