Story[]
The chapter begins with Valerie stuck outside the building as she forgot her ID. Not helping matters was the change in staff in the interim making things difficult for her to sort it out. Markus lets her in, and they meet the smug Luc Rousseau who had been promoted to Chief Surgeon. He sarcastically appreciates their experience in Montgomery before directing them to Professor Lloyd Wilkens's office.
They catch up with Wilkens, and are assured that he's in good condition as his disease has momentarily subsided. Wilkens reminds them that the operation would be strictly confidential due to the nature of the disease, and wants the doctors to resume their normal duties until he is ready to be operated on.
The doctors reunite with Elena, who just finished a short vacation, but are then called to perform a surgery as requested by Rousseau.

Now that you have both Markus's and Valerie's Healing Touches available, you'll have to weigh the pros and cons of using either Healing Touch. If you're working to hone your basic surgery skills by playing without using the Healing Touch, the choice would be of little issue.
You are now introduced to pus. If they remain on the organ for too long inflammation will occur. Your initial operating field has two pus-producing tumors. Treat them like you would a normal tumor, and clear out any pus along the way. After the first two, the magnifier becomes available. There are three tumors below your starting point and one above.

Getting XS[]
The "pus formed" requirement is not as lenient as it looks. After the first two tumors, pan down and work on the three tumors on the lower part of the operating field to minimize the rate of pus formation. Using either Healing Touch works to your favor; Markus's buys you more time to quickly clear out the tumors, while Valerie's lets you save time you would have spent maintaining the patient's vitals.
