Broken Heart is the fourth Orthopedics level in Trauma Team.
Opening[]
At the convenience store, Hank stumbles across a tabloid calling the "Eagle Man" a "fiend". Annoyed, he picks it up and crushes it. The cashier asks him if he's intending to buy or not. Hank pays for his items and the tabloid and leaves. Outside, tons of ambulances are driving by. Hank wonders what could have happened and flies off, finding his way to the collapsed Ferris wheel. He finds a crowd of people gathered around and Maria shouting to transport the stable victims. As Captain Eagle, he offers to help. Maria only recognizes him as the superhero in the newspapers. Captain Eagle tells her to save one of the victims, who she reports has multiple broken bones. Before they can begin, a large crowd recognizes Captain Eagle and blame the accident on him. Captain Eagle is forced to fly away with the victim.
Operation[]
Begin with the patient's right leg. The incision will reveal several chips out of the tibia. This section will need to be replaced. First, use the saw to cut the bone away. Next, cut out the section from the synthetic bone. Now place it with a plate. Next is the femoral neck. The joint is completely shattered, meaning it must be replaced with an artificial one. First, saw out the damaged area. Next, you'll have to hammer in a stem. This is a bit different from hammering a pin; the stem is much bigger, but it'll fit perfectly. Then, hammer on the ball joint. After this, we need to scrape out the socket so that the artificial joint will fit. Once you have done this, hammer the cup into the socket. Finally, drag the joint into the socket and close up the leg.
Another patient will be brought to you. Make an incision into the left leg. Here, the bones are shattered. Repair it as you did before, by removing and replacing the fragments. Some pieces will need to be bent back into alignment. Once all pieces are back in place, you will treat the tibia with a bone plate. The fibula will need to be repaired with a rod. Next is the femur. This will also need to be treated with an artificial joint. Close up the leg and you're done.
Ending[]
Up on the roof, Hank finds Maria lying down. The two spend some time together and watch the sunset. Maria finishes her story of what made her want to be a hero. Hank asks her if she stayed in contact with the child she saved. Maria recalls that she received a letter but hasn't opened it yet. Hank flashes back to the people calling him a monster, and adds that a hero can't do everything alone. He returns to the entrance, where Gabriel intercepts him, inviting him for a drink. After a moment of silence, Gabriel prepares to go alone, but Hank agrees to come. We then see a visual of Captain Eagle's discarded costume.
