Chloe's Change is the sixth Endoscopy level in Trauma Team, & the first in the Patient Zero Finale sequence.
Opening[]
Tomoe briefs Emma and Darnell on the symptoms of the pandemic, then finds Alyssa in the hall hiding something. She reveals it's her cat Chloe, who hasn't been feeling well. Tomoe concludes that the cat has swallowed something. Naomi appears and discovers inflammations in her mouth. She sends Alyssa back to her room and takes Chloe in for surgery.
Operation[]
Although we're operating on a cat, once you get inside it isn't really any different from a mission on a human. Treat the hemorrhages, blood pools, and ulcers you find the same way you normally would. Once you've accessed the stomach, you find the first foreign object. When you remove it, a focus typical of the pandemic will appear underneath. This is recognized to be a virus colony. Removing the focus is tricky: when you try to pick it up, it will burst and turn the inner wall black. In order to treat this, you must attend to all the hemorrhages and polyps that appear. (Remember, you can still give stabilizer to a cat the same way you would normally.) After treating enough of these, the black area recedes. Once this is done, we realize that Chloe still has more affected areas in her large intestine. Continue treating everything as you find it. You will also find tumors as you progress through; attend to these the way you normally would. Find and remove the second foreign object, and treat the second focus. As soon as this is done, the operation is over.
Ending[]
Naomi identifies the retrieved foreign bodies as human bones, most likely infected with the pandemic.
Notes[]
- This is the only operation on an animal.
