The team is introduced to the research division: Dr. Robert Cromwell, Isabella Vazquez and Cynthia Kazakov. Valerie is overjoyed to reunite with her old friend, and the team is introduced to the newly-developed cardiac patch which they will be using for their next operation.

Operation[]
Right after opening up, you'll be greeted with the affected area and a guide. With the forceps, pick up the patch and orient it to match the guide before positioning it on the affected area. If you miss, the patient will undergo cardiac arrest and you have to resuscitate with the defibrillator.
The first patch is simple enough, but for the next two patches, the guide will begin pulsating and changing its orientation. You'll need to time the patch placement so that the guide is in the right orientation and size to avoid complications. This may take some practice. The operation is complete after you finish placement of all three patches.

Getting XS[]
This operation is very all-or-nothing with its special bonuses. If you miss when placing the patch, you'll break your chain and lose more time to resuscitate the patient. If you perform this flawlessly, you'll easily get all 4 bonuses. Markus's Healing Touch makes acing this operation very easy; if you're playing as Valerie you'll have to practice the timing of patch placement.
