Story[]
As thanks for treating his co-workers, the miner escorts the team to the mines and helps Pepita keep them on the right track. Down in the mines, the team discusses how Stigma grows off culurium. Markus realizes that the abundance of culurium makes the mine a prime spot to test Stigma, and is worried about the potential consequences should the Parnassus group target the mines. The team's conversation is cut short by gunshots from afar as Pepita is injured in the crossfire. As their soldier escort readies to defend them, the doctors gather around the wounded Pepita. None of them have any veterinary training, but they're all determined to improvise with their current equipment to save Pepita's life. As they finish up, their escort receives a message: A full-on battle has broken out, and they need to return to the army camp as soon as possible.

Operation[]
You begin with the dog in cardiac arrest, so you are immediately introduced to the gimmick of this operation. Since the defibrillator isn't calibrated properly, you will have to position it differently and then administer the shock at a different voltage. Since the guide is positioned at a much lower region, it's easier to let the voltage marker swing up to the maximum and then shock on the way down.
The operation is otherwise non-invasive and you're essentially carrying out first aid. Extract the shotgun pellets with the forceps, seal the wounds with membranes, and cut out and drain away any hemorrhaging you can find. Pepita will regularly undergo cardiac arrest requiring repeated defibrillation, so be aware if the EKG starts acting up.
Once you finish treating all her wounds, Pepita arrests for one last time before she stabilizes and the operation is complete.
