An excision is an opening, hole or laceration made with the scalpel. Excision is done in almost every operation to open up the patient, but it is also used to expose Kyriaki bodies, excise Deftera, remove Triti membranes (only in Under the Knife), expose immature Tetarti and excise their diverticula, excise Pempti cells and core (only in Secretary Anderson's two first operations), slice Paraskevi, attack Savato directly, open subcutaneous bleedings, tumors, conscricted aneurysms, to expose bullets or other objects in the organs.
In the surgery field of Trauma Team you occasionally have to use excision to release blood that begins to build up under the surface of the tissue.
Excision is also used to expose tumors.
