Hidden Peril is the fourth episode of the first chapter of Trauma Center: Under the Knife 2.
Story[]
Sylvia leaves for the administration office, and offers to get anything for the doctors on the way back. Naturally, they're too busy to request anything.
An hour later, Derek comes in and learns that his report to Caduceus USA is due, and Angie calls him out for procrastinating before revealing she's already covered for his part of the report. Just then, the camp staff bursts in, informing the team of an emergency patient: Sylvia's vehicle hit a landmine and she is heavily injured.
After a successful operation, Sylvia is completely relieved that she's survived and thanks Derek for his work.

Operation[]
Now you are introduced to how Under the Knife 2 handles Cardiac Arrest. Slide up on the touch screen to position the paddles, press and hold to charge the defibrillator, and release to discharge. Hit the green zone and you get a successful defib in one go; the grey zones nearby will need two hits for success.
Once you've resuscitated the patient, you can begin work with the whole array of surgical tools available to you. The biggest wound in the center of the operating field is a large laceration. Drain out the blood pools, then quickly pinch the wound together with the forceps and suture before it opens up again.
You can proceed to extract the rib fragments from the spleen, but as you do so more wounds will appear and vitals will drop. Treat them as they come by, bumping up the vitals as needed. Then, reposition the rib fragments... but you'll be one piece short. This is when the patient will enter cardiac arrest again. Resuscitate her and the final rib fragment will appear. Extract it, position it, and then smear the ribcage with antibiotic gel to finish the procedure.
