The patient begins flatlining, so follow the game's instructions to get a pulse. Cardiac arrest treatment procedures differ between UtK and SO.
Treat the external wounds, then perform a lobectomy to get a closer view on the patient's heart. Extract the glass shards, fixing up any wounds on the way. You have less room for error in UtK so it's preferable to gel up each wound after each extraction.
The patient flatlines again - resuscitate him, and then extract the last glass shard. This wound is too large for the gel, so suture it like a laceration. One last laceration will appear, which is where the game previews the Healing Touch. Suture it well, and the patient will become stable enough to complete the operation.
