Story[]
Cromwell shares his findings on the characteristics of Stigma - first, the organism stores its genetic information in a manner different from known organisms; second, the organism is dependent on a special biomineral - culurium - to grow. The alloy has a wide variety of uses in the field of medicine, including the construction of implants and prostheses, forming the link between all Stigma patients to date.
Dr. Tsuji is absent from the meeting, but the team soon learns that she and her cousin were involved in a car accident. Dr. Tsuji was lucky enough to have only sustained a sprained neck, but her cousin is in critical condition. After the operation, Valerie notes that Koshiro is probably going to need another operation for more definitive treatment.
Meanwhile, the FBI have been running background checks on Wilkens's contacts to search for leads on his kidnapping. With Stigma now in the public eye, Irene becomes wary of the kidnapper's next potential move.

Operation[]
This is a very simple operation which can go awry very quickly. Once you make the initial incision, the patient undergoes cardiac arrest, and will repeatedly experience it throughout the operation.
As for the liver itself, once you've cleared out all the blood, you'll have to pack the enormous fissure in the liver. Place all 8 synthetic membranes along the guide and secure everything with antibiotic gel. Act quickly, though, because the fissure will continue to bleed. Any blood pools being formed will cause the membranes to fall off; trying to place a membrane on the blood pool will register as a Miss.

Getting XS[]
You'll have to be very quick and/or lucky for this one. Start with draining away the blood pools at the sides of the liver. Once you clean out the large fissure you need to begin putting on the membranes rightaway. Markus's Healing Touch, again, will make the XS much easier.
