"Operation Pointers" are a series of standalone episodes unique to New Blood, providing the player practice and serves as a tutorial as to what the game's mechanics look like and what to do. Unlike most episodic-operations, especially the "Challenge Operations", there is simply no presence of a briefing, story script, and dialogue. Upon episode selection the player is then sent to the operation screen, skipping the surgeon selection screen.
This episode unlocks after Episode 1-4, within Chapter 1.
Operation[]
This tutorial teaches the player how to invoke the Healing Touch, by drawing a star. Unlike the tutorial script, the characters have dialogue. During the tutorial, the player will draw a star by being instructed to press the Z and B buttons on the Wii remote. The star, along with guidelines and without will be drawn a total of 5 times.
