PGS is the second episode of the second chapter of Trauma Center: Under the Knife 2.

Story

In the conference room, Leslie and Sidney brief Derek about their newest PGS patient and his medical background. While he is stable at the moment, the onset of PGS was very sudden and the tumor growth incredibly fast. Victor is currently at work for treatment options, but an operation is inevitable.

While discussing PGS with Victor, the patient's condition rapidly deteriorates and Derek prepares for surgery. Victor joins in, too, unveiling a new sedative that can make the operation a lot easier. With the new tool in hand, Derek works on and successfully treats the patient's PGS.

Conference

Briefing Dialogue Sorry to keep everyone waiting. Victor, there you are... Now that we're all here, please begin the briefing, Ms. Thompson. Yes, sir. It should be noted that our patient suffered through a GUILT infection three years ago. He was admitted here last week, and the test results show numerous tumors in his stomach. The main objective of this operation is: - Excise and extract the tumors inside the stomach. But... Since the tumor outbreak is caused by Post-GUILT Syndrome, we'll need to be careful. Derek, this will be your first operation on a Post-GUILT Syndrome patient. Victor is going to guide you through this. I appreciate it. I'll follow your lead, Dr. Niguel. Damn straight. I'm gonna have to explain some things about the way Post-GUILT Syndrome works, so listen up. Got it... Then, let's begin the operation!

Operation

You open up the patient to find a PGS tumor of unknown origin, (likely Deftera or Paraskevi,) and Toxicosis. Inject the black sedative into the stomach, drain the cytoplasm, and sever the 3 veins connecting it to the stomach and then extract it, also treat any polyps it may form.

After all the tumors and polyps are treated a wave of 2 will appear, they should be treated in the same way as the others. However, if enough time passes after one of these tumors is extracted, it will regenerate. Sever all blood vessels on each tumor before removing them in one fell swoop. Treat all polyps as well.

After that, a final wave of 4 will appear, and should be treated in the same way as the others. This is a great moment to use your Healing Touch to buy enough time to extract all four without the patient vitals falling too quickly. Burn off the polyps and the operation will be complete.

Getting XS

As long as you're keeping an eye on the vitals, this should be a breeze with the Healing Touch on the final wave of 4.

If you're doing this without the Healing Touch, first push the vitals all the way to 99 before starting the final wave. Drain all four tumors and cut 2 blood vessels off each tumor. Vitals should be about 30 at this point if you're fast enough. Pump it up to about 70 and then cut out and extract all the tumors. With that tight time bonus you also won't have enough time to replenish vitals as high as you would want to.
