Secretary Anderson is getting weaker every day, and there's not much time left to find a cure. The only hope seems to be Victor's new laser, which could destroy Pempti's core when it surfaces to regenerate its tissues. After the operation, Dr. Hoffman reveals that Pempti attacks the nervous system first, which would cause great pain; however, because painkillers would affect the test results, Anderson hid the pain. Hoffman also said that it's a miracle that Anderson's body could withstand three operations, and that Anderson might not wake up again.

Briefing - UtK
I developed a new type of laser for use in this operation. Last time, we found that a single core unifies the cells. Even if most of the tissue is lost, the core can just reboot everything....But even when we destroyed the core, it just restored itself. A meme for core restoration must exist in each of the cells. In other words, this GUILT has a contingency plan.....So, I thought up a contingency plan for us, too. - Use the nanomachine to lure out the core, just like last time. - Use the new laser to destroy the core as it tries to rebuild tissue. Yeah, not that different from before, it should be easy.
Victor... How sure are you that this new laser will really work?
It leaves less than 1% of the core protien behind....A lot less. It's guarunteed to work, even against this damn thing. But...the laser will also cause serious damage to any human tissue. You're going to have to be really careful about that...
Understood. There's not much time left... You can do it, Derek.
I'm going to save him...

Even if most of the tissue is lost, the core can just reboot everything....But even when we destroyed the core, it just restored itself. A meme for core restoration must exist in each individual cell. In other words, this GUILT has a wicked contingency plan.....So, I thought up a contingency plan of my own: - Use the nanomachine to lure out the core, just like last time. - Use the new laser to destroy the core as it tries to regenerate tissue. Yeah, not that different from before, it should be easy.
Victor... How sure are you that this new laser will work?
It leaves less than 1% of the core protien behind....A lot less. It's guarunteed to work, even against this bastard. But...the laser will also cause serious damage to any human tissue it comes in contact with. You're going to have to be really careful about that...

Operation[]
Like in chapter 4-8, inject the nanomachine twice, and the core will show up. Use the laser to destroy the core. It will regenerate, and the real fight with Pempti begins.
While Pempti's fight requires a lot of laser use to counter its attacks, your laser is a special scalar laser developed over the previous chapter, which has infinite use. Expect to never have an idle moment as you have to use the laser almost constantly.
Pempti will start with its lacerating, polyp-making, and vital-draining mini-cores in this sequence, but will also not be vulnerable to the laser for this first phase. This serves as a demonstration of its attacks - dedicate your attention to burning off each of its mini-cores as they manifest. The lacerating and vital-draining mini-cores should ideally be picked off before they cause any lasting damage, while you only have enough time to clear out about half a wave of polyp-making mini-cores before they advance up the field.
After this first display of attacks, Pempti will proceed to attack in a randomized order. It will also periodically surface from within the fluid, exposing itself to attack. Keep the laser on Pempti to maximize damage, and only deviate from it when you have to intercept its attacks or patch the patient up after burning off polyps. Take too long to fix a wound or correct an error, and Pempti's continued attacks can send you into a downward spiral to a failed operation.

Getting XS in SO[]
If you keep up with Pempti's pace, you should have no problems. If your score is lacking, it might be beneficial to let some lacerations happen so you can get points off a Cool suture. Don't ignore polyps, either - if the fluid rises again and forcibly causes any polyps to burst, your chain will break.
