Rebirth is the sixth episode of the second chapter of Trauma Center: Under the Knife 2.
Story[]
Emilio's condition steadily worsens and Derek and Heather worry for him, but have no choice but to wait until a donor has been found.
Thankfully, after three weeks, Angie comes in with a successful match from an Elysium patient who just went brain-dead. While there are concerns of a mismatch between Emilio's and the donor's GUILT, no other concerns have been flagged, and the team proceeds with the transplant as they don't have much time to waste.
However, in the middle of the operation, a dormant new GUILT awakens within the donor organ, forcing the team to improvise a treatment plan on the spot. After a hectic operation, the new GUILT is dealt with, and Victor begins analysis to determine its origins.
With the successful transplant, Emilio's condition improves significantly and he is now able to return to Elysium to commence his rehabilitation.

Operation[]
You don't need to start with the opening incision, so begin by positioning the donor liver in the operating space.
You're given a vasoconstrictor for this operation. Inject it into the vena cava, make an incision, drain out the blood, then attach the hepatic vein to the incision site and suture. You'll have to repeat this process for the aorta, portal vein, and bile duct, and the game will indicate to you which vessels to inject.
What seems like a straightforward procedure becomes a lot more complicated in this next phase of the operation. The new GUILT awakens with a convulsion, and while it is not properly named at this time, it's known as Nous. The white star is its main body, but keep watch on the tumors as they appear. Drain and extract each one in the order that they manifested on the liver, then drain and cut Nous itself to force it to retreat into the organ. You will need to repeat this a total of five times before Nous goes down, and as you progress through the operation Nous will create more tumors before resurfacing.
Once Nous is defeated, you can then close up and call it a day.
Special Bonuses[]
- No misses: 400
- Completed with [90/120/150] left: 700
- MAX CHAIN Over [50/70/80]: 600
- Tumor burst <[4/3/2]: 300
Operation Rank[]
- C: <5100
- B: 5100-5799
- A: 5800-6499
- S: 6500-7099
- XS: ≥7100
Getting XS[]
Performing a perfect operation on Nous should be enough to get you an XS, even without the Healing Touch. The initial Nous convulsion will drop the vitals to 50 if it's above that number, so avoid the stabilizer during the transplant phase unless absolutely necessary.
