Mary Fulton, Hope Hospital's veteran surgical assistant, has just transported a patient to the pre-op area, and is now discussing the patient's state with Greg Kasal, the head of the surgical department. Derek Stiles, the protagonist who has just completed his residency, is assigned to operate. Derek tried to refuse with excuses, only to be scolded by Mary that he's "not an intern any more". Greg assured Derek that this is a simple operation, and Derek successfully completes it with Mary's help.
Conference[]
Briefing - UtK
Let's begin the briefing. The patient, Kevin Turk, just arrived in an ambulance. He lost control of his motorcycle and crashed through a glass door. His lacerations have begun to hemorrhage. There are glass fragments lodged near his right shoulder. Our cosmetic surgeon is out at a Medical Society Meeting... But, you should be able to handle the stitching, right? There are two main objectives in this operation: - Suture any lacerations. - Extract fragments of glass from underneath the skin. Be thorough, and try your best not to leave any scars.
Okay... Let's begin the operation!
Briefing - SO
Let's begin the briefing. Our patient, Kevin Turk, just arrived in an ambulance. He lost control of his motorcycle and crashed through a glass door. He received a number of lacerations, which have begun to hemorrhage. There are glass fragments lodged here, in his right forearm. Our cosmetic surgeon is out at a Medical Society Meeting... But you should be able to handle the stitching--It's fairly straightforward. There are two main objectives in this operation: - Suture any lacerations. - Extract fragments of glass from underneath the patient's skin. Be thorough, and try your best not to leave any scars.
Okay... Let's begin the operation!
Operation[]
First, suture the two lacerations. Then, use the forceps to extract the glass pieces and put them on the tray, and use the antibiotic gel to heal the wounds.
After that, we need to open up the patient's right arm. Disinfect the area around the guide line with the antibiotic gel, then make an incision with the scalpel along the guide line. And then, same as before, extract the glass pieces with the forceps, and use the gel.
All treatments are done now. Suture the incision, disinfect it with the gel, and tape on it.

Getting XS in SO[]
It would be hard to get all the bonuses if you're not used to the procedure. Completing with 275 seconds left means you only have 25 seconds to do everything. Vitals shouldn't be a problem as long as you don't get Misses, but you might get Goods instead of Cools if you're not careful enough. If that happens, sacrifice some speed for accuracy, especially with the forceps.
Miscellaneous Dialogue[]
Failure - UtK
Why are you wasting time, Derek? I'll take over from here!
