Stolen Memories is the seventh Surgery level in Trauma Team, & the first in the Patient Zero Finale sequence.
Opening[]
CR-S01 gets word that due to the pandemic, everyone in his prison will be transferred. The documents trigger a memory of working in a lab, with some sort of infectious disease. Before he can leave, a guard begins showing the same symptoms as the pandemic. He tries to get the transfer canceled, but the guards believe him to be infecting everyone, and he escapes. He finds his way to the Portland Medical Center, which is crowded with people experiencing the same symptoms. Holden catches up with him and finds him holding a patient, mistaking him to be holding a hostage. CR-S01 explains that the quarantine has failed, and he wants to help. Holden refuses to allow it, but he flees for the operating room anyway.
Operation[]
Before we begin, CR-S01 regains some of his memories, indicating that he knew about the disease. Begin by making an incision into the abdomen. The patient's liver will be in view, with a focus in evidence. CR-S01 explains that to remove it, they must drain the mucus, inject a vasoconstrictor to cut off its nutrients, inject sodium hypochlorite to kill it, and remove it with a scalpel. More foci will then appear; continue to treat them with this method. After two more, we see something moving in one of the blood vessels. Find it with the ultrasound, cut it out with the scalpel, and drain the blood. There will be more of them, so keep scanning. Foci will continue to appear while you're dealing with these. After a few more of these, a claw-shaped black bruise will appear on the liver. CR-S01 screams, indicating that his memories are coming back. Continue treating the foci and foreign objects. Eventually, the objects will begin moving backwards. After you've treated enough of these, the bruises will disappear. Treat any remaining foci or objects and close up the patient.
Ending[]
CR-S01 has flashbacks of his childhood, the death of his parents, his adoption, studying under his adoptive father, and the Cumberland College Incident. His father, identified as Professor Sartre, injects something into him, causing him to collapse and black out. Back in the present, CR-S01 explains to Maria that he remembers everything and tells her Sartre was really responsible, while they escape the FBI. CR-S01 explains that his adoptive father studied viruses he hoped would be used to attack pathogens, but the one he was studying was too aggressive and killed everything it came into contact with. He goes on to explain that Sartre disappeared after framing him. Maria is distressed that there is now no one they can track down, but CR-S01 brings up his adopted daughter, whose blood was used to develop the virus. He reveals her name: Rosalia Rossellini. Maria recognizes it to be the name of the ghost, and veers off in the direction of the orphanage.
