Story[]

In the nearby Wanadeo Base, Major General Ramsey Ramirez begins rallying his forces to stage a coup, and the government has started a campaign to strike back at him. The doctors are advised to leave for their safety as the army camp has become a danger zone. President Moreno steps requests that the Caduceus team lends their aid, but the team will only do so if the culurium profits be devoted to aiding Stigma victims, and if they will treat all wounded regardless of allegiance.

The campaign progresses and the government has taken control of the front gate. The soldiers have also relayed intel that the rebellion is receiving assistance from foreign arms dealers. The doctors get ready for surgery as the casualties mount.

After the surgeries, the campaign is a success as guerilla forces have been routed. However, Ramirez is nowhere to be found, and Moreno orders his forces to comb the area to find him.

Briefing Dialogue
We've gotten word that five patients are headed our way!
War really is hell, isn't it?... What condition are they in?
The first patient has severe electrical burns on his upper body! He touched electrified barbed wire! Even worse, he's undergoing cardiac arrest from the shock!
There's no time to lose! What about the others?
We don't have any information yet.
We'll just have to deal with it. Come on!

It's our responsibility as doctors to do whatever we can!

Operation[]

You have a total of five patients to treat. Even though they are mundane operations, the expectation to finish all five can be intimidating. Fortunately, you have a lifeline: If you reach the third patient, backup will arrive to help take over any unfinished ones, so from that point onward you can proceed at your leisure without worry of the time limit.

The first patient is a burn victim in cardiac arrest, but fortunately he won't flatline any further. Compared to chapter 2-5 there are fewer burns and less frequent bleeding, so it's less time-consuming to treat. Expect to finish this patient within 3 minutes.

The second patient has taken hits to the abdomen from a shotgun blast and a rifle round. Drain out all the blood pools and extract the pellets, then seal the wounds with membranes. You'll still have to incise to extract the bullets that have managed to enter the abdominal cavity. You'll have to widen the wound to retrieve the rifle round, and like chapter 1-3 it's split in two and vitals will plummet quickly in the process.

The third patient has taken a blow to the chest with multiple shards of glass piercing their chest. Extract the glass shards, clean up the blood, and suture any lacerations, then open up the chest and begin working on the lungs. You have a couple of large lacerations to close, and after treating the internal wounds, you have several internal hemorrhages to treat.

The fourth patient has a broken ribcage, with the bone fragments embeded in the spleen. It resembles the operation in chapter 2-3, but all the rib fragments are available to you from the get-go. The shapes of the bone fragments are also the same as that chapter, so you can reassemble it easily by memory.

Your final patient has hemorrhaging in the pericardium. Similar to chapter 1-6 you have to cut out and drain away several hemorrhages from the heart. Partway through this operation the myocardium will automatically rupture (you won't suffer any penalties), so you'll have more bleeding and cuts to treat. Vitals are prone to plummeting between the bleeding and the hemorrhage cuts, so keep the patient in good condition or you'll have to restart.

Getting XS[]

This operation is essentially several previous mundane operations strung together. Practice in the previous episodes to get the hang of working out each individual patient. Expect to finish the first in 3 minutes, and aim to finish everyone else in 2. Either Healing Touch is valuable in the final operation as vital damage in that patient can really rack up. But above all, work calmly and consistently since you have a lot of potential places to break your Chain.
