Twisted Rosalia is the eighth & last Surgery level in Trauma Team, the second & last in the Patient Zero Finale, & the final overall in the game.
Opening[]
Amid the celebrations outside, Naomi sits in Alyssa's room, mourning her accident. She suddenly feels ill and rushes out into the hall, where she collapses. Gabriel and Tomoe find out that Naomi was infected with Rosalia, and in the operating room, CR-S01 learns it's something worse: a superinfection resulting from the combination of Rosalia and her preexisting genetic disease. While Maria and CR-S01 operate, Derek Stiles is called in to provide advice for treating the genetic condition as well.
Operation[]
This condition is like none we've treated before: a hybrid superinfection, centered on a giant virus colony within Naomi's heart. This must be treated in the four chambers of the heart first, to prevent it from bursting. We begin in the left atrium. The colony here has a hard shell protecting it, so it can't be treated immediately. A small extension of the colony protrudes from it. Drain the mucus on the extension, inject the blue vasoconstrictor, follow up with the orange deactivator, then excise it with the scalpel and remove it. Next, use the laser on the shell to make it explode harmlessly. Inject the purple gelator directly into the colony. During treatment, small virus colonies come by in an attempt to extend the main one. Use the drain to make sure they don't reach it. Finally, suture the heart and repeat the process for the left ventricle, right atrium, and right ventricle. The treatment is essentially the same, however for each chamber, one more colony extension must be dealt with, the shell must be burned in one more piece, the gelator must be injected into one more location, more small colonies begin approaching the heart, and the shards from the shell begin to create lacerations which must be sutured, and the pieces also stay in the surgical field and must be removed with forceps. Once all chambers have been treated, the hardest part begins. Make an incision into the middle of the heart, revealing the main colony. Inject the black cardioplegic solution, which will stop Naomi's heart. This causes her vitals and max vitals to plummet, so there's no using stabilizer to give yourself more time. Quickly excise and remove the protective membrane and inject two full syringes of the brown antiserum. This will be enough to stop the superbug in its tracks. Vitals will no longer continue to drop rapidly after the virus is dealt with, so you can relax a bit. Suture the heart, close up the patient and it's over. You've just saved Naomi's life.
Ending[]
The operation was successful, and all that's left is for Naomi to wake up.
