Operation Strategy[]
The Triti formation is different between both versions, which can make for a different approach.
In Under the Knife, start with removing the five Triti membranes in the lower-right corner of the screen. Remove just enough thorns that the rest of the cluster expands minimally - just the ones joining the corners of the diamonds and the bottom-most thorn should be enough, as the borders of the operating field will prevent Triti from spreading too far into the top-left region. From there, work your way up, extracting the membranes two to three at a time at your discretion.
In Second Opinion, the Triti formation is much smaller and easier to treat. Removing the second and fourth rows of thorns will be enough to prevent Triti from expanding, and you'll have the freedom to approach the Triti from any side. If you perform a perfect operation, you may find yourself short on score for the XS, despite having plenty of time (at least a minute) to spare. In this case, leave the last two membranes alone, and repeatedly extract thorns or drain mist until your score is high enough.
